Yoga Nidra is a deep form of meditation where you are guided to relax consciously and remain aware. Your consciousness functions on a deep level of awareness. In this threshold state between sleep and wakefulness, contact with the subconscious and unconscious dimensions occurs spontaneously. You may experience visions or lucid dreams. You may drift in and out of sleep. All of this is normal. With more and more practice of this meditation your awareness will grow.

This meditation should be practiced lying down in a comfortable position.
